A downloadable tool

This simple Aseprite script does basically this in one click:

If you create the 3x3 tileset on the left the script does the rest for you and gives you a 47 autotile sheet.

Install instructions

1. Open Aseprite -> File -> Scripts -> Open Scripts Folder
2. Copy the downloaded lua file into this folder
3. Back in Aseprite -> File -> Scripts -> Rescan Scripts Folder
4. Open the 3x3 graphic
5. File -> Scripts -> Generate Autotile
